Protect the people who count on you.
Life insurance can help your family cover final costs, keep the house, or replace your income if something happens to you. Our licensed agents compare policies from several insurance companies and explain them in plain English, so you can choose what fits your family and your budget.

Coverage that grows with your life
Most families start with term life while the kids are young and the bills are biggest. As life changes, needs change too: protecting the house, covering final costs, or coverage that lasts for life. Here's how it usually fits together.

Protect your family for the years that matter most
Coverage for a set number of years, like while kids are at home or the mortgage is being paid. Often the lowest-cost way to get a larger amount of coverage.

Permanent coverage with flexibility
Lifelong coverage with adjustable premiums and potential cash value. More moving parts, so we walk you through them.
Explore universal life →Term vs. permanent, side by side
Term is where most people start. Permanent coverage, including final expense and universal life, is built to last for life. Many families use both.
| Term life | Permanent life (whole, final expense, universal) | |
|---|---|---|
| How long it lasts | A set period, such as 10, 20, or 30 years. | Designed to last your whole life, as long as premiums are paid as required. |
| Cost | Usually costs less to start for the same death benefit. | Usually costs more, because it's built to last for life. |
| Cash value | None. | Many permanent policies build cash value you may be able to borrow against. Loans reduce the death benefit if not repaid. |
| Often used for | Replacing income while kids are young, covering a mortgage term. | Final expenses, leaving a legacy, lifelong needs. |

Life insurance questions
Do I need a medical exam?
Not always. Some policies ask health questions instead of requiring an exam, and some have no health questions at all. Options and limits vary by company, age, and coverage amount.
How much does life insurance cost?
It depends on your age, health, tobacco use, the type of policy, and how much coverage you want. Your agent will compare real quotes from the companies we represent. We don't publish sample rates because they'd almost certainly be different for you.
Does it cost extra to buy through your agency?
No. Insurance companies pay our agency a commission. The price of a policy is set by the insurance company.
I already have coverage through work. Is that enough?
It might be. Workplace coverage often ends if you leave the job and may not be enough for your family. We can review it with you.
